The Beading Heart

Here is a very special lady after my own heart! A Beading Heart!!! I have been beading since I was 12!! Ann Marie also offers awesome beading parties for every occasion. She does a much better job of introducing herself. So without further delay, here is The Beading Heart!!!

    The Beading Heart
Beading Parties & Inspirational Jewelry Collection
I first began creating Inspirational Beaded Jewelry and other fun items in 2003 after becoming a foster parent.  I was very stressed out, and spent many nights beading until the wee hours of the morning.  I found that the time I spent playing with beads was such a relaxing and therapeutic part of my day.  As time went on, my little "hobby" turned into something so much more. . .Beading Parties for Children & Adults including Birthday Parties, Girls Night Out, Bachelorette Parties, Wedding Parties, Ladies Groups, Bible Study or Retreat Craft, etc.

The Benefits of using The Beading Heart Hosting your Children's Birthday Beading Party?

v Automatic entertainment for 2-1/2 to 3 hours!  We do all the work!

v Have the party at my house. . . we set up and clean up. Just come have fun!  You may bring a cake/refreshments and please provide all paper products.  You can come early to decorate for your party as well!

v No need to put together any goody bags for the party-goers.  Each child receives a goody bag with treats and a beautiful organza jewelry pouch for their masterpiece!  The Birthday Child receives a special treat!

v  Beading is fun for Grown-Ups too!  Stay and make your own special piece of wearable art from a gorgeous selection of sparkling glass, crystal and silver or gold plated beads and findings.

I also create handmade beaded Inspirational Jewelry.   Check out my website, (a work in progress!) at

Who doesn't love jewelry and accessories?!! Even better who does love to get cute, trendy AND affordable jewelery and accessories? I am thrilled to have Paparazzi represented by Bethany Rudd. This will be the first year Paparazzi will be at Spring For A Cure!

With all these great vendors I need to start saving my money. I see new jewelry in my future! When we moved in January I lost most of my jewelry. Oh the tragedy, I only have about 2 pairs of earrings. What better way to restock and revamp my jewelry and accessories then when they are only $5!!!!

You can contact Bethany at bethany.paparazzi at gmail dot com for all your Paparazzi needs.

We are SO excited to have Bethany with Paparzzi on board for Spring For A Cure 2012.

Vendor forms

I have been getting some questions about fees and forms, etc. So I thought I would do a quick post to hopefully answer those questions.

When are fees due? Fees are not due until January 1, 2012 due to CTF's fundraising calendar. You can send it in early but it does work best for me to turn it in after the first.

Can I turn in my vendor form with my fees? You can, however, by getting your vendor form in you reserve your spot. I will only sign up 1 vendor that are consultants for companies (Scentsy, Discovery Toys, Thirty-One, etc). I will allow several vendors who sell the same thing (jewelry, children items, tutus, etc). Once the limit is met no other vendors with those items will be signed up.

How do I get signed up/or know when I am scheduled for the vendor spotlight? You get in the line up by turning your vendor form in. As soon as I receive them I put you on the vendor list that is on the right side of the blog and that is the order I follow for the vendor spotlights.

We are getting excited for all the amazing vendors we have been in contact with and cant wait to see how it all comes together. We have got some larger business coming and setting up booths and bringing their prize wheels or mascots.

Please leave any questions in the comments or feel free to email me at springforacure at yaho dot com

Scentsy at Spring For A Cure!

We have a great line of products returning for 2012 but with a new consultant. Vicki Winkles is a great consultant for Scentsy, I had the pleasure of working with her in a professional setting at my last job and got to be friends with her. She is a joy. I am so excited to introduce her to our Spring For A Cure crowd......She loves Scentsy and when asked about Scentsy this is what she said;

Hi, I’m Vicki Winkles.  I am celebrating my 1st anniversary selling Scentsy this month.  Scentsy is wonderful, safe option to real candles.  You have over 80 scents to choose from and instead of having an open flame – you have a beautiful, electric warmer.  There are 3 different sizes – plug in, mid size, and full size – with a large variety to choose from – something to match every style.  The warmers also work as night lights – safe for nurseries and the elderly who may love scents but may forget to blow out the candle.  The wax does not get warm enough to burn you and are safe in case an animal or child eats it in error.

Scentsy also has lovable stuffed animals that are great for nurseries and children love the smell of the animals as there is a scent pak of your choice inside each one. The scent paks and travel tins are great to add your favorite scent in your lingerie drawer, linen closet, or in that hotel you are visiting that does not smell to fresh.  You may find out more information at www.vwaz.scentsy.us.  Visit and see all of the wonderful design choices.  I hope to see you at Spring For a Cure!!!

Thanks Vicki!!! We cant wait to see you at Spring For A Cure and smell all of Scentsy fabulous scents!

Miche Bags is another new vendor!!!!

I am so excited to present Miche Bags at Spring For A Cure 2012!! I am in love with this concept. I hate dumping my purse out when I want to change it. And then trying to figure out what you want in the new one and if you are like me inevitably leaving something behind you really need. I cant wait to see what Miche has to offer us at Spring For A Cure.

Nancy is our consultant for the event and I have enjoyed trading emails with her, learning more about her and Miche. Below is what she has to say....

A Miche purse lets you change the look in seconds without having to swap out what’s inside; no more forgotten lipstick or credit cards.  By simply removing the outer shell and replacing it with another you can go from every day to elegant.  You can change the handles too!  Miche also carries wallets and a large selection of accessories.   Miche - think of the possibilities!
How does it work? A picture is worth a million words.....or something like that. ha ha How cute is that bag?!

Hope Project for Cancer Survivors. Love that it isn't the traditional awareness ribbon kid of thing!!

Check out Nancy's website at www.luvurpurse.net We cant wait to see Nancy and all of you at Spring For A Cure 2012!!!!

Come one, Come all......Spring For A Cure 2012

Cant believe it is that time already. I have already been working and planning Spring For A Cure 2012!! It is set for February 25th, 2012 from 1oam-2pm. We have some returning vendors and I am working on getting some exciting new vendors.

If you want to be a vendor, do a game booth or volunteer please email me at springforacure@yahoo.com

I am so excited to have this underway!!

I am so committed this year. We have lost 2 more members of our NF community this year. One was 18 and one was 23. This is to young to lose your child against something that you can feel so powerless against.

Children's Tumor Foundation http://www.ctf.org/ is making leaps and bounds in their clinical studies and research. So I continue to push, fight and raise awareness anyway I can. If any small measure of work or sacrifice I can do now would help one parent from the devistating diagnosis in the future I will fight with every breath that I have.

Below is a poem I wrote after learning of another families struggles with NF and their little daughter is very young under 4 I believe.

I want to scream
I want to Pout
I want to cry
I want to shout

why must you take hold of so many kids
They are kids how could you have done what you did
Tumors grow here and there,
Medical conditions I never want to hear
Doctor’s appointments day in and day out
I cant take one more of my little boys shouts

Once every three months he goes in a machine
We pray all day long that everything is clean
Where is the strength to do this for life
Where is the break from the pain and the strife?

I so dearly pray for there to be an ending
but it seems with each obstacle its just a new beginning
I sit here some days, banging my head against a wall
But is doesn’t seem to help, not a little bit, not at all

Thank you for all your support!

AZ Balloon Artist presents Kyle's Balloon Garden

When I first started planning Spring For A Cure last fall I contacted a balloon artist I found on craigslist. Her work was amazing and I thought I need a balloon artist to twist a few balloons for the children. She then invited me to a meeting they were having that night. We took Kyle and he had a blast. From that meeting several balloon artists graciously offered their time and talents.

I am proud to announce that the group Arizona Balloon Artists will be at Spring For A Cure. But they have a much larger vision than I did. They have created Kyle's Balloon Garden for the event. Below are Tobi's words on describing the event and their plans;

"If you have watched the new television show “Unpoppables” on TLC, you may understand what a Balloon Artist goes through on major events. We have our very own team of Balloon Artists here in Arizona and they are available for a large corporate events, weddings, and more. The team has volunteered to create one of the world’s largest balloon gardens, titled “Kyle’s Balloon Garden” to help draw attention to this year’s Spring for a Cure! Tobi, with AZ Balloon Artists, has said that the garden will contain well over 5000 balloons and will have over 170 man hours into this project. To ensure that the children can enjoy the garden to the fullest, each segment of the garden was designed as a centerpiece that can be purchased with a donation of $20."

They will also have all kinds of flowers and little critters available for donations of $1-$3 so that anyone can take a wonderful piece of this amazing garden.

Check out their website at http://www.azballoonartists.blogspot.com/ for amazing pictures and more information about this talented group of balloon artists.

Oh Snap by Carlee......

I am excited to present our photographer for the event. Carlee Komar has generously donated her time and talent to Spring For A Cure. When asked about her business and passion for photography she had this to say:

I have always loved photographs. I would constantly take pictures of my kids and take them to photo studios. My point and shoot just wasn't good at it and I realized every time we went to a studio my kids were unhappy and not cooperating. It ended up costing me over $100 for pictures that were just ok and totally posed. They were just awkward. I was stressed, my kids were stressed. So I decided to come home and sell every designer purse I no longer used and consigned all the clothes that not longer fit my children. With $500 in hand I purchased my first DSLR camera. I immersed myself into everything photography. In a week I knew my camera backwards and forwards. I practiced on anything breathing or not. I was fortunate with lots of opportunities with friends and family that led to the client base that I have now.

Today, I count myself blessed to be apart of so many peoples special moments. Whether its engagements, weddings, pregnancies, newborns, kids, families, or fun, what motivates me the most is catching that second in time for my clients so that it can last forever.

I am so excited to be working with Carlee and know she would capture your special moment also. You can see Carlee's work at http://www.facebook.com/ohsnapbycarlee and http://ohsnapbycarlee.wordpress.com/

Thank you Carlee!!
