Come one, Come all......Spring For A Cure 2012

Cant believe it is that time already. I have already been working and planning Spring For A Cure 2012!! It is set for February 25th, 2012 from 1oam-2pm. We have some returning vendors and I am working on getting some exciting new vendors.

If you want to be a vendor, do a game booth or volunteer please email me at springforacure@yahoo.com

I am so excited to have this underway!!

I am so committed this year. We have lost 2 more members of our NF community this year. One was 18 and one was 23. This is to young to lose your child against something that you can feel so powerless against.

Children's Tumor Foundation http://www.ctf.org/ is making leaps and bounds in their clinical studies and research. So I continue to push, fight and raise awareness anyway I can. If any small measure of work or sacrifice I can do now would help one parent from the devistating diagnosis in the future I will fight with every breath that I have.

Below is a poem I wrote after learning of another families struggles with NF and their little daughter is very young under 4 I believe.

I want to scream
I want to Pout
I want to cry
I want to shout

why must you take hold of so many kids
They are kids how could you have done what you did
Tumors grow here and there,
Medical conditions I never want to hear
Doctor’s appointments day in and day out
I cant take one more of my little boys shouts

Once every three months he goes in a machine
We pray all day long that everything is clean
Where is the strength to do this for life
Where is the break from the pain and the strife?

I so dearly pray for there to be an ending
but it seems with each obstacle its just a new beginning
I sit here some days, banging my head against a wall
But is doesn’t seem to help, not a little bit, not at all

Thank you for all your support!
